Andrew Jirasek

Dr. Andrew Jirasek is the Director of the AiMS Institute and also the Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Training for the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science at UBC Okanagan. He received his PhD in Physics in 2002 from UBC. Dr. Jirasek’s main research interests include:

• The use of Raman spectroscopy in combination with data analytic strategies for the development of predictive and monitoring assays of tumour and normal tissue response to radiation
• The use of 3D radiosensitive gel materials for the development and verification of complex radiation delivery strategies.
