Rasika Rajapakshe

Dr. Rasika Rajapakshe is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Math, Physics and Statistics at UBC Okanagan. Dr. Rajapakshe received his PhD from the University of Manitoba. He serves as a senior medical physicist at BC Cancer – Kelowna and is the lead medical physicist for BC Cancer’s Breast Screening Program. He is a fellow of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine and is certified in radiation oncology and mammography physics. Dr. Rajapakshe is certified as a health-care information security and privacy practitioner from (ICS)2. His research includes medical imaging, deep learning in medical imaging, web and mobile technologies in health care, health and medical imaging informatics, cancer risk modeling and decision support systems in oncology.
